He's a power hitter tonight! That was UPPER DECK!

        • Oh, my.

I think it was the NY Post, although it might have been the Daily News, had an amusing headline- "Put Me In" with a picture of Babe Ruth superimposed over the Game 6 finish, and the subtitle "Yanks need Babe's curse to stand a chance in Game 7."

That curse is gonna have to be nuclear-powered or something (although it could be waiting simply to deny the Red Sox the World Series). At least I can laugh at my foolish Yankee-supporting co-workers tomorrow... maybe.

Therefore this is not a syllogism.

That, ladies and jellyspoons, is how you break a curse.

                  • Oldwarrior, while you may have respect for the team, that doesn't mean you don't dislike them . Most times the teams are extensions of the fans and take on their characterists (hence cocky Yankee ballplayers
Sorry Imran, I just have to diasagree with that.

The combination of fans and team is the reason that I think you can't seperate it and say you hate A but not B. I think they are too intermeshed to make that distinction.
I find it very easy to do. It is simply about sports, not cities and people.... for me anyways.

Besides, you are a Yankees AND a Mets fan? What do you know? Though, being a Mets fan, our rivals aren't the Cubs (who knows it might have been in the dark ages ). It's the Braves and we hate the ****ers.
I know enough. :-P~~ And in the old days... the Mets rivals were the Cubs.

I keep forgetting how ancient you are .

Then you are very rare . For my 'fairness', I hate the Yanks, even the players. I want Jeter to fail miserably... is that wrong?

                          • No, not wrong. But at least you will give credit where credit is due. And be reasonable about it. Some others can't. Plus you will hold a serious discussion about baseball without getting personal, unlike others.

Figured they would. Interviewing the darn guy who hit a homerun to tie it.
