When you say English English you realise that Great Britain has more dialects and accents than all of North America, right? I've recently moved from Suffolk to Norfolk, a hour long car drive, and the people speak funny up here!

Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

South Arkansas (originally from and still here). What Albert recognizes as ghetto I probably picked up from the majority ~50% black population in my city.

What, you don't speak BBC English Dauphin??Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. Good call, Sprayber, and here I thought you were somewhere near Newnan, GA, based on your handle.
Ozark and Appalachian dialects are more similar than either is to the Deep South dialect, though, in my defense.
In the latter, parents tend to be mama and deadie or just mom and dad. And for the record, no self-respecting Southerner would ever use "y'all" in the singular.Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

Analyze this:
My parents are Mom and Dad, my grandparents are Farfar, Farmor, Grandpa and Grandma, my father and his siblings call their parents Dad and Mom, my mother and her siblings call their parents Father and Mother, one of my greatgrandmothers was Nana.
I say "grossery" and "groshery" sounds strange.
Sometimes I say "Y'all" and "Ain't" for fun.
My father says "this pants" and "fift", which are both wrong to me.
What I call "stuffing" my grandfather calls "dressing", whereas to me "dressing" is something else.
Probably not enough to go on, but...

Hmm... "Farfar" and "Farmor" are of course Swedish. That would be consistent with the dropped "th" as well... Er... Minnesota has lots of people of Swedish descent...?
