In case you missed it, I to I'm a military vetern, and I work for the US Navy with a total time of 33/4/6.
I listed my opinions and I saw on the new what happen in this Country after he said we could not win.
When people in his position say thing, other people listen and then act on what they have heard. Sometimes its good and sometimes it bad.
Take Kennedy, some say that he was going to pull the troops out on Nam and he was going to tell the nation the day after he was shot. But he was shot, so we will never know what he was going to do.
If your uncle was alived in 1783 and saw Washington loose all of those battle, and then told the Nation that we could not win, we would still be a British Colony.

Che, he did say "we could not win". I saw the show.

Gramps, for the record, my son is 11 months and 22 days older than you, if your birthdate is Dec 69.

I said to my friends from the start, I will not miss Sadam, but I did not want a single KID to be killed taking him out. So I guess that means that I was not all that supported of the War.
Actually if we just sent in a missile or two for time to time that would have been OK with me.
