I would agree... I see no reason why the bowl system can't be changed to give more than two teams a crack at it... especially since they have done such a crappy job in the past of matching the right teams up
1 game play in -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 playoff resulting in a tournament with the top 9 teams

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
PLATO, glad to see you guys win, but I wish you could have poured it on them more.
Next up: Oxford town, with a chance to clinch the west.
Thanks Solomwi! Anytime you beat the tide it is a great win. I wish we could have pounded them also! I imagine we are saving the big whoopin' for Tuscaloosa next year!
ALSO at the Gatornation!! HA!
See ya in Atlanta!

DanS, I never figured you for a Gator. If I'm reading your response right, you should be looking up. This was going to have to happen for UF to get anywhere meaningful, though admittedly a loss to MSU is more painful than necessary.
Not a Gator. Rather, a midwestern boy. Unrelated post.

The rumor is that Spurrier wants back in. Urban Meyer from Utah might be their 2nd choice.

Damn... that was super quick after the Miss loss. Damn!

I'm hearing the opposite on Spurrier. I know he doesn't want back in as long as Foley's around. The names I'm hearing are Meyer and Petrino primarily. One thing we can be certain of is that it will be somebody with at least D-1 head coaching experience.
An ultimatum? I'm not sure Florida really wants Spurrier back after hearing that. I'm also not sure any of the Bull Gators are going to buy that a one-day ultimatum is an honest effort to woo the Ol' Ball Coach.
FSU goes down to Maryland
Utah is almost guaranteed a BCS bowl now
Cal looks good for the Rose Bowl
