  • I hope their announcers sounded suitably despondent.

If you had listened to Auburn's (http://www.auburntigers.com/), I wanted to get your perspective on Rod Bramblett, in his second year following legendary (at least to us) announcer Jim Fyffe.

    • Whew!! A real nail biter.

2 Tennessee turnovers led to 14 Ole Miss points. Sure am glad that they don't have a real good offense. Talk about a bad time for the Vols for Ole Miss to suddenly discover their defense. But...

      BIG ORANGE WIN!!! 21-17

Still in control in the SEC East. Tennessee's biggest challenge left on its SEC schedule is a Halloween weekend trip to Columbia to tangle with the Gamecocks. The Tide next week in Knoxville will, as always, be a struggle, but a likely UT win. Then its just Vandy and Kentucky.

Solomwi, it looks like we will know after Halloween wheather or not we'll get that rematch in Hotlanta! You guys look like a shoe-in.

Guynemer, Don't count the Vols out of the hunt. They may be a long shot, but running the table with a SEC championship victory in a rematch with the only team that beat us could give us that chance.

      • It would take a meltdown of Tubervillian proportions for us not to make it. Oh, wait... damn.

If Tuberville didn't seem like he had done a complete 180 with a few key management issues, I'd be a lot more worried. Congratulations on pulling that one out.

Now do me a favor and hang half a hundred on those toothless bastards from West Vance Community College.

I could well make an effort to listen to the Auburn-Kentucky game next week, so I could check it out them

Cal is a great team. It is a shame that the Pac-10 doesn't have any kind of championship game. I would love to see a Cal-USC rematch.

                    • Utah is still undefeated and Texas A&M going to 5-1 makes Utah look even better.

Utah is the only team to beat them this year.

                      Go Utes!

That gimmick 3 qb rotation nearly worked against a good team. hahaha.

It produced a lot of confusion, but not much production. Ole Miss' two touchdowns came on a 24 yard drive after a muffed punt and on an interception return. The 3qb system really only produced 3 points from its own efforts.

                            • Another week of College Football is here. Only two games where ranked teams are playing each other...

                              Michigan at Purdue
                              Texas at Texas Tech

It will be interesting to watch the changes in the BCS standings after the weekend. I sure wish we could get rid of the it.
