He was sabotaged in South Carolina by a Rovian push-poll. The McCains have an adopted daughter from Bangladesh. In SC, people began getting polled, asking if they would support McCain if he'd had an illegitimate daughter by a Black woman. Then they look at his adopted daughter and 'click.' It happens to every single person who runs against Bush.

The problem is that our allies are democracies, while we are a republic. We don't get as much war weariness as they do, so they have to be real careful about the wars they engage in, or they'll have to switch to communism.

I like McCain a lot. But he does support goverment interference in gambling which I do not like.

He tried to shut down gambling on college sports in my state.

I'll be honest with you though. I usually vote republican presidents. But all we have not is religious nutjobs. I like McCain because he doesn't seem to be a religious nutjob.

People like to forget that prior to 9/11 Giuliani was just a philandering schmuck. Two planes later people forget all that. Talk about short term memory.

Sometimes it takes extraordinary events to bring out the greatness in people. Look at President Lincoln.

No offense or all, but Obama is probably the biggest turn off for moderates. I heard of him, and I have seen things he has said.. a nut case.

He really helped New York City and reduce crime substantially.

Btw, the whole Bush is leading Kerry so nyah (), Kerry is known for being a great closer. William Weld and Howard Dean both thought Kerry was dead in the water, but out of no where he came around and ended up winning. This is especially relevent in the case of Weld, where Weld had a nice lead with a month or so to go and Kerry just rocked him.

I think he is better known as a great stumbler.

Kerry was dead in the water, and will remain there now. It is far too late for him to recover. How can he improve his chances if he just screws up all the time?

Kerry had to go negative and break a spending cap agreement with Weld to close the gap. He'll have no such advantages against Bush.

I the primaries I'ld say it was more Dean imploding then Kerry coming on strong.
