I'm bookmarking this thread for when Israel retaliates for a terrorist attack because several people here are making inconsistent statements on this issue.

the blah...blah...blah attitude seems to be why Russia is in the mess that it is. When DD talks about what Russia has done you respond with America did this and America did that but DD was talking about what Russia has done. What some chechens are doing in this instance is vile indeed but don't just dismiss the role Russia plays in its own troubles. It's really very simple. Either Russia decides the price is too high to keep on being in chechnya and leaves or they take the efforts to the next level. Can Russia do that without killing thousands of civilians in the process? I don't know. The chechens seem to have lost the high ground on this issue with their use of terrorism but like many Euros like to point out, when your plight gets little attention elsewhere and your hopelessly out gunned people tend to use more drastic measures. Some people here have expressed outrage because the targets were children instead of adults but that seems strange to me. It's not ok to target any civilians period.. There is no difference between what palistinians do in Israel and what the chechens are doing in Russia. NONE AT ALL. Now you can talk all you want about the polices of Israel but you can you really say Russia has done any less than Israel? Even the US has done things to get on the lists of terrorist.
Again for the quick to respond and slow to think, Those that deliberately target civilians are wrong no matter what their cause. Doesn't matter if they kill children, middle aged people or old folks in wheelchairs, ITs ****ing WRONG. Regardless if it's against the US, Russia, Israel, Or Andorra. It Doesn't matter. Military targets may be a different story, something to think about. Then again that's just my opinion..Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. I think the attacks on buses were not directed intentionally against children, here they were. The difference between hurt of a child and hurt of an adult is that the child is more likely to be damaged psychically because of it - that's the only difference. Here, I must change my mind a bit. We didn't have computer games when I was a kid, and I far as I'm concerned they do nothing put indoctrtinate little kiddies into a culture of violence. When I was a kid we played patriotic games like "B-52". I made sure that my machine was always loaded with the best, nothing but thermonuclear weapons.

Am I misreading you? I hope so. I agree that a double standard is a problem but that shouldn't stop you in the least from recognizing that the terrorists in this school are unambiguously the villians in this story. You should be able to see that now is not the best time and this is not the best thread to attack people over their double standards. bookmark it quietly and inobtrusively and mention it the first time it is relevent in another thread.Comment
