What really gets my blood boiling is that Bush campaigned as a moderate, was appointed by a bipartisen vote in the supreme court, ran the country like he had a conservative mandate, and now is trying to fool people again with this moderate crap.

The scene conveys a message in that you see Bush attempt to make a (lame) joke, but it doesn't work because it's so sadly true.

I could say the same thing about Gore's even lamer jokes. Of course, no one has used Gore's facetious comments against him, so I don't have engage in the hopeless defense of such a blatantly misleading use of footage...

He won with 48% of the vote, but he's acting as if he won 48 states.
