Because he isn't a freaking Republican! Well at least not like Republicans are supposed to be. Cut spending you numbnut! Hell, I think with Kerry government spending will be LESS than it is under Bush.

No, I remembered that the Republicans didn't have control of the Senate for their first two years, and wasn't sure whether they made gains in both the Senate and the House, or just the House.

Besides, 49-51 isn't a sea change from 50-50.

Hell Woodrow Wilson was basically incapacitated for his last year in office and his wife ran the country and they didn't impeach him for doing that!

The only way I can see this is if he pulls out the US troops abroad.

Domestic spending, will rise, as will taxes under Kerry.
