Refer to #1 on my list of resons why I haven't seen the movie earlier in the thread. There's also the general disgust at handing my money over to Moore but #1 is the biggest reason.

I suppose it cannot be argued that Moore makes any major, outright lies.
Which is what distinguishes him from those who make their livings pandering to right wingers.
In a discussion of Pentagon spending, he refers to the "$250 billion the Pentagon plans to spend in 2001 to build 2800 new Joint Strike Fighter planes" and states that "the proposed increase in monies for the Pentagon over the next four years is $1.6 trillion." To back this up, he refers to the Web site of the peace activist group Council for a Livable World. CLW's own analysis of the 2001 budget, however, shows that $250 billion is the total multiyear cost of the Joint Strike Fighter program, not the amount spent in one year. $1.6 trillion, meanwhile, was the total amount of money requested by the Pentagon at the time for 2001-2005. It covers five years, not four, and is a total budget request, not a "proposed increase" over previously requested budget levels. It shouldn't even take this much research, however, to determine that out of the total defense budget request of $305.4 billion in 2001, $250 billion was never intended to go toward one type of plane, nor that an increase of $400 billion per year in military spending was never proposed.

I suppose it cannot be argued that Moore makes any major, outright lies. I will concede this point. He is far too adept at warping the truth to the point where viewers see a false reality, without him actually telling a lie.
I suggest you to apply this analysis to pretty much every cheerleader in the political landscape.

The problem is not the political commentators. We know they are spinning the truth, with effects as efficient as lies.
The problem comes with information. Whether FoxNews or CNN, BBC or Le Monde, it is easy to instillate a very, very different feeling in the viewer. Selective editing, music, journalist's comment... With all of this, two people who have heard about the same news item will have completely different impressions on the news item."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

In it's first weekend of release, F911 has set the ALL-TIME box office record for documentaries with $21.95 million worth of tickets sold, being the nations #1 film of the week. Interesting that the film cost more to market than to make. One only hopes that Moore has enough savvy to get gross points rather than net (I'm pretty sure he does, having been in the business almost 20 years).
Of course, he's dealing with Harvey Weinstein, who has been known to rob the most famous people in Hollywood - and get away with it.
