I hear MM ripped off the idea of having color film form another movie. That and the idea of sound running along with the pictures. In fact, he is so sneaky I htink he might not have been the first to use moving images created with photosensitive film either!

    • What a poor response.

      • Not showing the video of the plane crashing is the only tasteful way of presenting it.

Especially when you consider how Moore often criticises that sort of scare mongering in the media where they show that clip over and over again to drum up fear.

                • I noticed the running theme with the anti-Moore crowd here is that he lied about this-that-and-the-other. Fine, I am willing to accept that with proper evidence. So I ask you this then....If Moore is making all these false accusations, why doesn't anyone sue him for defamation of character? It would seem a logical way to counter-attack him.

                  • Or vice versa. If the websites accusing Moore of making false statements are lying, why isn't Moore suing them for libel?

It's a bit of a difference between someone like, say, the president suing a film maker and writer like Moore for libel, compare to said film maker and writer suing some idiot blogger on the internet.

                      • There are several established figures and websites that he could go after. David T. Hardy comes to mind, who IIRC is a former Interior Department lawyer, and co-author of Michael Moore Is A Big Fat

why would moore care? the more people moan about his movie, the more people will go see it, means more people will believe him.

                          • Yes, Moore knows his base is made up of people who care little for factual accuracy, so long as his message is one they agree with.

How ironic coming from the guy who's had every argument of his against Moore's work shot down, and even refuses to read Moore's defense of criticisms.

                              • Excuse me? I don't recall my last two being shot down. No, IIRC, the Moore defenders merely brushed them aside because despite the factual inaccuracies, Moore's message was still the same.

And not only have I read the rebuttals Michael Moore has on his website, I have posted portions of it in this very thread.
