Is Islam a form of Fascism?

Mussolini, the creator of fascism, defined it in these terms

'Everything within the State, Nothing outside the State, Nothing against the State'

Muslims have a similar attitude to Islam, for a good muslim

Everything must be within Islam, Nothing can be outside of Islam, Nothing can be against Islam.

Considering Sharia law, where Islam and State become one in the Law of the Land, I have to wonder, what argument can make the term Islamic Fascism a nonsense?

No, because you are hastily generalizing.

Thats almost like saying that everything that is nationalistic is facist. (I think).

"and islamic state is as fascist as a christian state."
Once you add the fundies they both are the same.

I don't think so. Although I don't think christianity is particularly fascism-unfriendly (Italian fascism actually considered Catholisism to be an extension of itself)

Islam embraces union between faith, government, lifestyle and morality in a much more comprehesive and explicit way. Especially when you consider what can be called Shariaism (the belief in a total Islamic State)

Yes and considering that was basically what Europe was like back in the days when the Chruch with a capital C ruled then Lawrence is right. Christianity has happened to move on a little.

Okay, conceded. But that's not an argument that makes the term Islamic Fascism a nonsense, shows it to be an oxymoron. I'm looking for arguments that blow the concept of Islamic Fascism right out of the water... perhaps the best that can be got is a subjective/relativistic muddle.

Is capitalism a form of fascism? A fair and balanced review.

                  Yes.

Fascism requires a central leader "hero figure," to exist, Islam has no central leader and no central state.... therefore it cannot be a form of fascism. It would be a form of Theocracy where the real leader is god and those who represent his wishes on earth.

Hmmm ok from a different point of view then. Fascism is more state focused whereas religion is always all about the religion, governments that revolve around this are normally theocratic (again I think).

Just because a church and a state is one does not make that state automatically fascist.
