I'm certain that people in Alberta did not enjoy being governed without representation from around here. I'm positive that the people of Quebec (especially certain groups of them) will see the problems very quick.

I really would not like to see a majority that had no representation from Quebec. It is mathematically possible, but not desirable.

OTOH, I don't suppose there is any reason they could not name a non-MP or two to cabinet. However, there would still be a problem with perception.

Of course, there is also the small problem of having to get 2/3rds of the rest of the seats if you get none in Quebec, and that ain't gonna happen with any frequency.

Yes, they are. That is per the very definition of a federal government - a federation of sovereign States. The federal government is also sovereign, and within constitutional limits is superior to the States.
