Because she is insinuating that the reason the Bush Administration (who knew about the events of 9/11 before they happened, remember ) didn't tell the people of New York. Because their friends would get paid.

They knew planes were going to be hijacked. That alone should have been reason enough to warn the public. Especially since immediately afterwards, Ashcroft stopped using commercial airlines. If it's serious enough for the man charged with our saftey to stop flying, it was serious enough for us.

Find the quotes, then. All the actual quotes I've seen are true statements of fact, and reasonable conclusions or speculations based on them. So what's the basis for all the attacks on her?

So, tell us specifically which part of anything she said was loony. And don't claim that she said Bush planned the attack or knew specifically what and when would happen, because what she said was that he had plenty of warning that exactly that sort of thing was likely to happen sometime and didn't do anything to prevent it -- which is simply true.

He had plenty of warning that people were going to hijack planes and fly them into the World Trade Center? I doubt it. Is there any proof Bush knew of these threats? Did the FBI or CIA tell him that this threat was imminent? Don't think so. And also, that sounds very much like he knew specifically what and when would happen, doesn't it?

Why bring up, in the same interview that a war would be financially beneficial to Bush's friends? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together to find out McKinney was insinuating the Bush willfully ignored evidence because his friend would make a ton of money out of a war. This isn't hard, people!

Really?! Bush had concrete information that terrorists were going to hijack planes and fly them into buildings? I think that whole 9/11 commission is saying that he didn't or that the CIA failed in identifying the thread - ie, intelligence failures (remember that word). Remember the Aug 6th daily intelligence briefing only said that OBL had planned to hijack planes to release a friend of his. Nothing about crashing them into buildings and the whole hijacking thing was not corroborated and called 'sensational threat reporting'. I guess hindsight is 20/20.

And if Bush did know, why did he not tell anyone? So his friends could financially benefit from a war?
