You know nothing. Again this shows that this only affects the reserves, not anything else. And besides that a draft would counter-productive. It is better to have well trained volunteers out there, then poorly trained conscripts.

Seems that recruitment hasn't been hurt quite as bad as some would think. I still have no doubt that retention in the guard will be hurting later on.

Wow I agree with Fez! . Draft would have a devastating effect on the economy, amplifying the idiocy of the war in the first place!
God knows it's be a good way to increase the slaughter out there
You don't agree with me because I agreed with the Iraq war and supported it. It was for a greater good in removing a mad-man. However, there are people trained and able for job, and I'm not one of them.

But your experience at shooting commies on your computer? We agree that the draft is an error.

**** you. I can support the war and not go. I'll support the country in the best way I can, and I'm not strong armed enough to go into a war. So don't even ****ing try that crap with me.

Google search for "military recruitment goals" turned up ZERO stories on goals not being hit. Several articles on how the war has not hurt recruitment, albiet the most recent was August.
Sava, please educate me and reveal your source!

But Fez you should be on the front lines! Words are all very well but if you really want to show commitment to your ideals you should be prepared to fight and die for them! For all we know, you could be just another Stalinist behind your veil of ad hominem...

PLATO: maybe after 24 is over... I'm posting during commercials.
Fair enough. Thanks.
This bodes ill if it is serious. If the military does begin to experience problems meeting its manpower obligations then it is eithier "stop loss" on a grand scale or the draft eventually.

Check mine. Google News turned it up, and it's from two weeks ago. There are several stories about poor retention in the Guard and Reserves as well, but that was my point anyway, and much of it has to do with this week as opposed to yearly goals.

Kirnwaffen, the first article I find searching google news is:
I still see nothing to support recruitment problems. Link anyone??
