South Korea - perfect example of a US puppet. How many US troop are there & how long have they been there ? How free and fair have S Korean elections been ? How is political dissent handled ? How much US money is invested in S Korea ?
I could go on, but a best case scenario for American Iraq is becoming a South Korea.
This is perfect example of propagandist crap.
South Korea is not pulling out Joncha, I hear that party too says it will stay with its committments.

Zapatero wanted a handover to UN control. There is no plan for UN control of any kind come June 30th, or before. Handover to a provesional government soley dependent on the US military for internal security (just ook at what Bremer said), that US military being control from Washington, is NOT UN control.
Actually it was all very much backed by the United Nations and the US approved the United Nations plan.

Ok, but look, the new Spanish PM promised to get his country's troops out of Iraq in short order shortly arter winning the election. How long did it take for his troops to become the subject of fresh attacks? They didn't give the Spaniards much time to carry out their withdrawal did they? I don't think that the Iraqi "insurgency" is capable of negotiating in good faith, so what's the point of responding to any of their demands?

No he didn't. He said he would maintain troops there until June 30th. I'm saying Spanish troops should stay there and kill as many insurgents as possible (of the few that remain).

You forgot to read the part where I said "According to the UN Human Development Index".
Nope.
CIA Factbook is better and more accurate.

Spain's decision to pull out of Iraq has nothing to do with any so-called "truces." The people opposed going into Iraq in the first place and the Socialists promised to pull them out if elected. Al Qaeda and others are just trying to use this to their own advantage--like some bad OT troll--and the chickenhawks keep biting.
The only people I care about is the Iraqi people and pulling out now is not wise.
