Agathon, your anger makes you hilarious. Keep it up.

Blah. Yet again you post in a thread without making any other contribution other than pointless sniping. If you do ever say something, it sounds like it was taken off the back of a cornflakes packet.

    Yawn......

You will find that is a misattribution.
I have already found that it is a misattribution, but I liek the quote anyways. It sort of implies this balance between no control, and overbearing control.
Lysistrata: It comes down to this: Only we women can save Greece.
Kalonike: Only we women? Poor Greece!

However, the idea of going to war against the religious people is despicable. If people want to believe in fairies, let them do. The society should only give the environment for such beliefs not to have any appeal (i.e. a society where science is taught completely secularily at school, and where religions are taught completely secularily as well, just like Greek mythology - I personally really would like to see religions be more covered in history courses, to remove the Greek myhology's monopoly as "beliefs not to be taken seriously")
          It's an ideological war, Spiff.

We have to suffer these maniacs spewing forth their poisonous tripe day after day. We are supposed to tolerate it, yet these are the very people who would do away with tolerance.

When I see someone like Jerry Falwell on TV expressing his moronic and crypto-fascist beliefs, I am annoyed that no one calls him on it from the athiest perspective. It seems as if it is considered horribly wrong to point out that he believes a load of old tosh. Yet Falwell and company freely diss "athiests" and "evolutionists".

I'm suggesting that our side stop turning the other cheek (after all, that's their idea) and take on religious belief. I used to see this in the media and in society when I was a kid, now it is exceedingly rare. That is what this thread is about. Instead of pretending it's alright when some bigot invokes the almighty to justify his latest crusade against happiness, atheists should go for the jugular and attack the problem at its source. Saying nothing is not working.

Dogmatic religious belief is anathema to an open society. It's not something that can be accommodated in an open society because it seeks to undermine it.

            Whatever...

You are exactly the same. You post snide remarks, but never anything of real substance. At least the Libertarians argue their case, instead of presenting the facade of smug ignorance that you persist with.

He's actually telling you that you're a closeminded, humor lacking individual who's becoming exceptionally boring as of late

Z - the religious people hate porn. Isn't that enough for you?

I couldn't give a **** what JohnT thinks. Anyway, he can't go around accusing anyone of being boring without being a total hypocrite.

Is this eventual "human glory" being led by the inherent beauty and functional ability in the genes of your average nearsighted/sack of lard/pock marked atheist?

If you'd bother to make it more interesting, perhaps I could be arsed to put forth more effort than merely commenting on poorly constructed trolls that rely on hyperbole for their impact.

I never said that all religious people were evil. I just said it's time that the rational people put you in your place instead of sitting around and being polite.

but the pot called me black! Not at all a petty out for todays' nubreed of social thinkers.

Anyway - you're just becoming a militant, leftist schmuck; plain out of touch with most other HUMAN BEINGS. Keep it up, choice is a blast.

The old - "I'm so tired of stooping to this" remark. If you don't have anything worthwhile to say, don't post.

But you never say anything of substance. Which has led me to the belief that you are FOS. It'd be different if there was evidence of you actually having an original thought, but I've been here for some time now, and nothing is forthcoming.

I'm having fun and you keep feeding the troll. So I win. There's plenty more fish in this thread but you seem to be the easiest target.
