          Poorly constructed troll.

2/10 for the ability to get responses though.

hmm... Jesus seemed to be an allright guy to me, at least from what I have read about him in the bible.

It was the powers of religion who were the true enemies, just like today.

Of course, that makes for a less fun OT thread.

Yeah, what are you doing including a well thought out post in the middle of a rant .

That's what you get when you post here instead of writing your essays. Any guesses on what that does to the essays?

Indeed DD. Communism is simply the new leftist religion. The new opiate of the masses . Secular humanism didn't do the job, so they had to turn to the cult of Marx. Of course other arose with their own sects of the religion of Communism.

Religion was an inert fetid mass when first conceived and it remains such to this day. Soon, humanity will clean the chitinous barnacles off her skull and stride forth into the morning breeze with contentment and non-deterministic purpose.

Eh? Isn't desperate hope the point of the drug?

Dude, I am not a commie. Any government that does not incorporate effective elections -- Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Stalinist Russia, Titoist Yugoslavia, Maoist China, Berlusconist Italy, Putinic Russia, Bushist America -- is broken.

Nevertheless, religion is an ichorous cancer on the human spirit. It malevolently simmers in depredation, persecution, and schadenfreude. The antedeluvian evil draws on its last breaths and soon the fire of the malebolgian depths of its putrid wickedness shall blink for one last time and never again reignite.

I am attempting to cement my connection with hoi polloi of Apolyton by engaging them in their own lingua franca -- English. There is naught superior approach than by stimulating their cardiac and cerebral complexes with vocabulary that does not contemptuously assume them to be kindergarden intellects.

Agathon has kindly advanced a thesis of some significance and an atmosphere of supreme wisdom and mutual respect suggests itself.
