  • "Zapatero a sus Zapatos"...the people have spoken and quite well in theory, but let's wait and see how the PSOE handles not only the recent terror acts but also the economic situation, for instance...big questions lie there.

    • The socialist victory is good news, and I don't think the attack's role in it should be overblown. We should not forget all those who have lost in Aznar's eight years of agressively free-market economy. We shouldn't forget Aznar's complete ignorance of the people's wishes regarding the Iraq war. We should not forget those who found the PP's new candidate completely unappealing.

The attacks sure had an impact on the swing votes, but I don't expect them to have helped the PSOE any more than the PP (since one could look at the answer to the attacks both ways).

I think the PSOE's victory is much deeper than a mere surrender to terorrists, and I strongly expect the PSOE to be hardline against terrorism in its mandate.

I am very proud of the Spanish people to have chosen a reasonable social-democratic regime I hope they'll bring some sense in Spanish politics, and help the European construction in being about prosperity and jobs, rather than being the crap we are now experiencing

          • My country has made a big mistake. The victory of the PSOE highlights this and I will be renouncing my passport in due course aswell as my dual citizenship. I feel that I have lost faith in my country and the people have handed the terrorists a victory. Tis a truly a sad day in the history of my country. After this whole issue, I will not be returning to apolyton as I am exhausted.

              • The defeat party against the wishes of the people by illegality supporting depot Bush. What they need to do is closed down the America bases in Spain, Withdraw they forces from Iraq, leave NATO like French did, sent all America Dipl personal home.

                        No.

Democracy and the Spanish people won.

You can dislike the result and wish it were otherwise, but no agent of the Spanish state will haul you out of your bed at 03.00 hrs and take you away for disagreeing with it.

                        • This is than first for the Arab terrorist group they carry off than major terror attack without the uselly electronic chatter that they have before just than attack. Three days before 9-11 there where alot of electron noise from the terror network even it tranlate in time would have meant nothing as code words where use. It said the "Match is setup" it would have meant than friend scocer game between two terrorist groups or than 9-11 operation.

Of course. Provided that their oponents have not used fairplay he has given them a lesson.
