Can anyone give my some prices on imports/locals, just for comparison.

    Here:

    in supermarket :
    Can decent lager (33cl): 0.6€
    quality beer bottle ( 33 cl) : 1€

    bar:
    Tap (25cl) : €1.5
    quality beer bottle ( 33 cl) : €2.5

Imports like Tuborg and such are are something like +10%,
    Mexican beers x2,
and the few bars that sell Budweiser/similar : no idea but I guess x 2 will be close.

(those are averages off course )

I don't know about their brewing process but this beer, while still loosing some taste, it is not that susbtantial, so that at some point, you get an equilibrium, were the taste is just storng enough to be noticed while cold enough for you taste buds not to care and your throat to appreicate the coldness.

The problem with Bud isn't that it's weak. It's that it's bitter, skunky, swill. Making it ice cold is the only way it could be tollerated. Thank god it isn't stronger.

In my neighborhood- sixpack of Yuenling regular used to be $4.99. Heineken, $7.99, which seems the standard price for American microbrews and imports.

A pint bottle of Russian Beer average $1.30

          At bars-huge differences:

          On average, a cheap beer $3.50-4. Finer imports ~ 6 a pint.

Yeah, cold Bud is tolerable, but Bud Ice? Nothing can save that bottle of crap!

Often because they are chemical beers (Stella is a example), you can still get a hangover with more natural beers but they usually are less persitent.

The only problem with places that have huge beer selections is that at any time 1/3 of them have probably gone off from sitting around too long.

You really should, it's well worth it. Go on a friday night with some friends. You'll get to taste some beers you can't get in the stores.

Perhaps the Bud you've been drinking was brewed back in the 1980's and left outdoors in the sun for 20 years. That's the only possible way to explain Bud tasting of anything.

I agree. Yesterday I made the mistake of drinking a 24 ounce can of Foster's at an event (forgotten really how low it is)-today I had a minor hangover.

The night before I had 1.5 liters of good German beer, and nothing.
