I don't have a good tape recorder but I can nonetheless tape the games for you.

You're probably the only I could trust.

Okay. I'll wait until Peter Jackson is the most important part of any countries mythological background before I reply.

Wait until next year and he might be able to edit in the other forwards that have been dropped because of Leics. form.

The fact that you were asking why Setanta = Cuchulainn = "The hound of Culainn" could beat "Foxtel."

I thought that you may be doing so deliberately.
Thus you have learned not to overestimate my intellectual capacity. Actually, a lesson you should have learned from my constantly underestimating Tamerlin's.

It only needs a working Pause button for when Mam'zelle minces anywhere near the ball.

The tape will be one long clumsy DIY edit!

                  • But of course. And if he said Mr Blair is God and Mr Hoon His son, you'd be on your knees in front of the telly news every night.
And on that day Satan will go to work in a snow plough.
Don't give it back to him. On my behalf.
I hate to say it but he had a point – bits of it are extremely funny, and desperately sad in a way too.
Also bizarre was the way the All Blacks were drooled over until the semi at which point they suddenly changed into public enemy number one.
I work on a Saturday anyway and will be recording them to watch on Sunday.
The only game that matters this weekend is on Sunday.

Do Setanta really have rights to the England, Wales and Scotland home games. These belong to the BBC and they normally use their own in house distribution so Setanta must have licenced Australasian rights from them? RTE have the rights to Ireland home games do they not?

Lots of clumsy DIY editing resulting in J**** miraculously appearing in the games.
Should be fairly easy. Tigers have a week off so Jonno will be on studio duty. Editing studio footage into the game should be easy enough?

Certainly if Borthwick and Jones are being selected as Internationals then Martin retired far too early.

Wait until next year and he might be able to edit in the other forwards that have been dropped because of Leics. form.
And that’s the key expression isn’t it? Dropped because of Leicester’s form not because of their own.

Mixed feelings about it really – Tigers need the lads to earn their club wage for a bit rather than constantly being focused on (distracted by?) England. Plus if Clive screws up the 6N as badly as I fear he might then I can always say Jonno and the Tigers boys won the world cup rather than Clive.

                      • Massive electrical storms tonight after a day of 35C and 88% humidity. I'm turning off and unplugging the computer. I'll return in the morning to deal with the usual twaddle posted above.

Oh, and they're starting S12 in about 10 days. Can you imagine? In this weather?

                        • Excellent - anything Finbar dismisses as twaddle has usually found it's mark.

Those conditions sound awful Finbar. Still it should make for nice firm surfaces for running rugby shoudn't it?

Only some of the sillier commentators. The more astute ones kept pointing out that the ABs weren't playing anyone of any substance.

How does it work? The BBC has rights to the matches played in GB (except Ireland)? So who has the rights to matches played in France? Or Italy?

It is France Télévision (grouping two public channels, France 2 and France 3) in France.

In Italy it could be one of the public RAI.

And, presumably, they have the foreign rights to sell?

I have RAI International on cable. I bet the rugby won't turn up there!
