I'm on a PC at present - running 2 sessions - one in IE running something else through a shell which is in turn running netscape (don't ask!) and another through another version of IE running in Linux - The pooch is staring at me just as hard in both sessions.

Sounds a bit like a firewall issue on Mrs finbar's PC to me ...

One thing at a time... be patient little beetle.
Now there is a French saying I have not seen before.

I suppose that "Les Obus" is still the place to go...
Shells? Is it a bar? If so thanks for the tip!

Fancy a bet that the crooked ref is from the SH Finbar?

Rugby - Six Nations Tournament: five against one
I think you both got it wrong – it’s everybody against the Welsh?

Not anymore, mon ami. Your 6 Nations ship might finally have come in.
Ignoring the fact that the England second string did very well against a full strength French side last Autumn? And that Pelous is now skipper (an excellent lock but the jury is out on his captaincy) and the Rumanian at scrummie? I would say we have a shot at it? Tamerlin? It would certainly help if the French abck row all picked up injuries in club rugby the week before though.

France have to be favourites – only England will be playing every game as RWC winners and defending grand slammers – can you imagine the psychological boost that gives every opponent? And we face France in france – I still don’t think you SH guys understand how significant the rotating fixtures our wonderful tournament has are. They add an edge not present in the home and away style of the tri nations.
You know how I feel on it – when a certain lock retired we lost our best chance of retaining the grand slam. The fact remains that any team Clive rolls out even with the butchers bill we have right now is still capable of a slam – whether they can make it reality is a different question.

The main problem of the French team is the lack of good kickers, Frédéric Michalack must improve its kicks, he has the talent to become one of the best Half-Fly...
Get him to train in rain and with Betsen running full pelt at him. Otherwise he seems prone to panic when our loose forwards line him up. And I have already ordered rain for the Saturday night in March!

Surely it would have come under much more scrutiny much sooner given its relative importance ... ... The absence of the All-Blacks notwithstanding.
But all those poor decisions went against the eventual winner – and winners rarely push complaints as hard as losers. I’m glad you raised the possibility – and frankly I would not be surprised if it proves to have some foundation.

It’s possible I suppose. Easiest way to disprove it would be if another PC in the same workplace could see the images.

I have connected myself to Dermott's site and seen the pictures, you should be careful with the size of the pictures Finbar, more than 300 Ko for the first and more than 800 Ko for the second, you should reduce their size.

I now understand why you don't have a kid...

TRUST ME, we know he can do it with the ball in his hand.
A big thumping at the WC proved that.
I think he can make it... he needs more experience and to improve its kicks, but he is perfectly able to play under pressure. The problem is when he is associated with a bad half-scrum that is delaying the exit of the ball from the scrums, rucks and mauls... like you know who.

The question is though, can he control a game with his boot, and, critically, know when to switch and do so effectively?
That is the question... I agree. I would tend to reply, not yet.

Yes, it's a bar near the Parc des Princes where Rugby supporters used to gather before and after the games.

Pretty scary training session, I agree. No chance, the weather will be fine, my witch doctors are working day and night.

Ask Dermott to connect its Mac to its website... if he licks the screen it means he can see the pictures, or at least the second one.

It should also be on video and DVD. You should also try to see Mammet's "Glengarry Glen Ross". It started life as a stage play before it was filmed. Stunning film with Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon and others. It was released in the early 90s. It will be on video and/or DVD.
              I will have a look.

Which means - we have you in the half backs. If Dawson and Wilkinson can get fit anyway.

There is another issue being taken forward by the IRB for more discussion - an AUSTRALIAN proposal that kicks into touch from within the 22 be outlawed if the kick comes from a received pass.

i.e pick up the ball yourself in your 22 then you can kick it into touch - if another player passes the ball to you then you cannot. The idea is the ball will be in play longer.

Two observations - firstly it would have screwed the Wallabies in the final as it was only be players laying ball back to Rogers that they cleared their lines so well.

And then more of a personal plea type observation - I wish Eddie and the ARU would stop bringing stupid suggestions to the table - this aspect of play is not broken and does not need fixing and is a blatant attempt to reduce the number of lineouts in tests - something the Aussies are currently relatively weak at.

Short termism in play by Australians again - quelle surprise!?

*edit* Oh god yesterday's optimism was totally unfounded - I also see they are looking at limiting penalties to law 10 offences - with technical infringements only producing free kicks.

Are they determined to turn us into League???

It's call to arms time for the NH - we must fight these stupid ideas and perhaps, if they ratify them in November, let the tri-nations break off and play their little league like game to their hearts content whilst we form a Conitnuity IRB up here to keep the true game alive.

We'll keep hold of Bill as the IRB clearly cannot be trusted with him.

Tamerlin - please take it from here.

For an unknown reason totally independant of my own will it was changed to beetle (scarabé) in the french version.

Translation eh? Il a été probablement fait par une machine.

Tigers are in Wales tomorrow – can we break the cycle and get two wins in a row. I can only hope.

I am currently reading this in the paper on my lunch break. The obvious cynicism comes in. That it will just erode technical skills, that it is SH, league , not likely to produce more tries, balance of the game etc...........

                            Reporting for NH duty.

The story underneath this in the paper is how the Ashes may now be strong enough to be shipped to Australia, maybe you could organise some sort of deal.
