        Hey Tamerlin. Feeling hungry?

I used up some of my ripe San Marzanos.

You are a real "chef"... grasshopper.

When do you come in France by the way... I know a market named Marché Victor Hugo you will like very much.

Dunno exactly. Could me March or April. Depends on this children's movie I'm writing. And Mrs finbar has a telemovie to produce in March. I need to be around to prop her up when she's working hard.

Is this the Toulouse market? Nothing better than a good produce market! Heaven on earth.

There are several markets in Toulouse but the Marché Victor Hugo is certainly the best. Here are settled the official providers of the Delmas family (my step father's and mother's family name)... and that means a lot.

Goodoh. Mrs finbar's telemovie wraps at the end of March. So it will probably be April before I get over there.

Found this on the Planet Rugby site:

There is also talk that All Black first five-eighths Carlos Spencer may move to Leicester Tigers at the start of the next European season.
Watch how quickly Havak will suddenly overlook small things like runners being in front of kickers.

Oh, and I also found a reference to Leicester squeaking home against some bunch of Taffy never-weres-and-never-will-bes.

The ashes can never go back – only Australians would give a p*** taking ‘gift’ then ask for it back I reckon.

Oh we could correct him fairly quickly with the England pack around him. Spencer has been linked with us before and let us down at the last minute. I’m not sure we can trust him this time around. But then I suppose it all depends on who Graham picks this season right?

I’d rather we made every effort to get Jaco Van Westhuyzen out of his Japanese wait of time contract. I thought only old Kiwis and the odd Kefu went their for a pension?

Also now doing the rounds again – Larkham to join Saracens straight after the next tri-nations (for our 04-05 season in other words).

Oh, and I also found a reference to Leicester squeaking home against some bunch of Taffy never-weres-and-never-will-bes.
Dragons 20 Tiger 26. A four try to one victory and we missed, if memory serves, six penalty attempts. Stuart Barnes on Sky TV actually saying “it’s all very well scoring tries but you won’t win the big games without a recognised goal kicker”.

So there you go – Tigers flying the flag for fast running rugby in the Heinekin cup it would seem.

I can’t wait to see what Tamerlin made of the Leeds-Toulouse game. I thought the first half was the worst half of rugby I’ve seen in several years. Fortunately they did wake up after the break.

                        The voice of experience?

Keep the bastard. Our turn at the top's coming to an end anyway. Post-McGrath and -Warne we'll be back with the field.

But what other options does he have at 5/8?

Also now doing the rounds again – Larkham to join Saracens straight after the next tri-nations (for our 04-05 season in other words).
Yes, he's being very non commital about it. Says he hasn't spoken to them, but friends of his have, and England might be interesting, but then so would lots of other places. He's playing full back for the Brumbies this season to let Matt Giteau play 5/8, so he could end up somewhere else.

Gee, so J**** gave away his usual quota of penalties?

Closer to the pack maybe – but still a class above Vaughan’s boys I feel.

                            Eeeeeeee oooopp, lud.
Fair t’middling parody for slightly further north, sirrah. The Leicestershire dialect is lazy, contracting words wherever possible and using catch-all words constantly. ‘Ode boy’ for example is Leics for any male relative – and yes it’s ‘ode’ not ‘old’ which would be used almost anywhere else in England.

But what other options does he have at 5/8?
How is Merhts the mouth fixed? Another gem from Jonno – you remember Mehrts saying England are ****** to lose to? Jonno says someone should ask him how he actually knows that as he never has (Carlos playing in the last two losses - Mehrst drawing the worst result).

Hmm I have déjà vu – have I pointed that out before?

He's playing full back for the Brumbies this season to let Matt Giteau play 5/8, so he could end up somewhere else.
Normally the rumour mill here gets it right – I suspect he will be a Saracens man come September. And good luck to him – I think his Wallaby career is almost at the finishing line.

Gee, so J**** gave away his usual quota of penalties?
As he was walking on water in his new deity like fashion you mean?

Two drop goals in their 15 kicked points (ban them!?) – and penalties given away by Darren Morris, Steve Booth and Neil Back if memory serves. Jonno was his usual perfect self.

The Stade Toulousain has made the break in the second half scoring 4 tries and thus earning the prized bonus point. Finbar will be pleased to know that Mam'zelle "Blonde Bulldozer" Labit score the fourth try.

Very good performance from Frédéric Michalack (fly-half) and Jean-Baptiste Ellissalde (scrum-half) and the forwards. On a darker note, Baby has been wounded and it appears to be a bad injury.

Well, yes, there is that, but I took it as understood.

Are there any well known Leicester accents around? I mean, anyone I'm likely to have heard open his or her mouth?

Yep. He's served wonderfully. Time for him - and the Wallaby selectors - to move on.

Jonno was his usual perfect self.
Speaking of whom - what was he doing lying around on that beach in East Scotland? Some chappie spotted him and mistook him for a 420,000,000 year old fossil. Understandably.
