Just ask a lot. Frequency of sales calls is more important than sales style. Ask anyone who's done sales. Also ask them out right away. Don't spend forever thinking about it.

Show some balls. Nothing to be ashamed in getting shot down. But when you don't ask and you wanted to...

Try the pickups, doesn't need to be slimy or anything. Just if you are at the bookstore and you start talking to some girl about classes or whatever and she is cute:

1. ask her name.
2. Ask her if she'd like to grab coffee some time.
3. If she says yes, get phone #, arrange date.
4. If no, move on.

I don't really have much luck being a player. I tend to move into a relationship quick. But several relationships have come out of pickups.

Yes, but I can't vouch for bar/pub situation, since I have never gone there to meet woman.

Get involved in some organization at your school that interests you - females sharing that interest will also be in the organization. Thus you already have something in common.

I worked at the campus radio station in college. Net result was about four girlfriends, two of them serious and one who ended up being my wife.
