Prisoners volunteer to transfer there, and can volunteer to leave.

OH WAIT it is being paid for ENTIRLEY by private individuals and groups-not ONE CENT comes from tax dollars, your thought?

But if you go for the premise that private prisons are OK, there is indeed nothing wrong with that one. Just like there would be nothing wrong with a McDonald's meatpacking prison. After all, you do in your own prison as you please, just like in any private company, right?

the South used the criminal justice system to simulate slavery for many years... "criminals" provided labor to rich Southern businessmen in the form of prison labor and chain gangs. Chain gangs are famous for ditch-digging, etc... but the little known version of history illustrates how common the practice of buying and selling slave "prison" labor was.

but innocent blacks were never persecuted, railroaded, framed, or falsely imprisoned in the "New South"...
