Well, another way to look at it, is that the socalled Shock and Awe effect is beginning to wear off. Lets face it. The immediate period up to the war, and during the war itself a massive propaganda effort was launched in concert with the bombings and the ground operation. In fact I heard just now on the radio that after this initial shock the Iraqis are gathering their resolve, and seem to now be rallying around the nationalists. Both the idea that the resistance was from foreign insurgents, and the idea that it was Saddam who was in control must now be discarded as Whitehouse spin. In fact Saddam was probaby a captive of the kurds for many months, before he was handed over to the Americans.

So they're still exterminating natives and enslaving Africans too? Give me a break...

This little bit of stupidity might be enough to nominate Tripledoc for the honor of being the first person on my ignore list. I'll have to see if the stupidity continues though.

I knew his skills at logical deduction weren't very well developed but this takes the cake.

How do you know what my prejudices are? Is it not instead yor own prejudice that people who do not accept what comes out of Washington as neccesarily the whole truth are by nature prejudiced? In fact people who believe in the present President of the United States of America are perhaps the most conspiratorial of all. Of course you won't believe this but I am far less anti-american than I used to be. You see I tend to keep an open mind and think positive.

It's quite simple, really. If the Yanks don't care how often they are attacked, then they don't need to change anything

They can either manage it by trying to obtain the fine line between control and oppression, or go the whole hog and oppress the lot of them by doing what Saddam did, which to me defeats the whole purpose of it to start with

The article from Conspiracy Planet concludes.

Like the phoney story about the recovery of Jessica Lynch, the "Capture" of Saddam Hussein is another failed psyops (psychological operation) by the Pentagon.
This brings me to the issue, as to whether there are still people who believe that Jessica Lynch was actually rescued.

Maybe it is perhaps that Pentagon simply tries to hard to control the news, by for instance having officers in CNNs editing rooms and such, that the whole message resembles a commercial.
