    Prediction:

    3-1 CAN

    The US team is fast, but they're small and the offense depends entirely on two lines.

    Canada's team is ****ing huge, and every last line is capable of putting the puck in the net.

    Unless the US really plays above my expectations or Canada doesn't play up to standard, this one's going to be a solid victory for Canada.

    T-4.5 hours

          It's on now.. I'm watching delayed show and Canada just went 2 to 1 against the US. US has been able to play pretty good today.

          Do you think maybe Canada had a little too much of a feel good after seeing the game against Finns? Maybe thinking 'hey these guys are physically dominating and checking these guys and they don't answer' made a feeling that is not healthy? Anyway, Finals, everyone is fired up. Good game so far.

            What is it with Canada blowing leads in gold-medal games at this tournament lately? That's three years in a row now! And two of those, third-period leads!

            *sigh* So ends another WJHC; back to the dullness that is midseason NHL hockey.

              OMG! US won! ... And what a way that was... own goal from Canada.. and the 3rd one was kind of lucky too.. but hey they count...

              Congrats to Team USA, first gold medal U20 ever, so enjoy it.

                Goddammit. I KNEW we were getting too overconfident! Losing is one thing, but underestimating an opponent is much worse, and I fear we may have done that.

                Ah well, there's always next year.

                      Sad part is that most of the Yanks won't care about the win nearly as much as all the other teams.
