Shoot, I forgot to include this at the end of my post:

Still, why does homophobia prevail even in the third world where hetero marriage isn't seen as under siege?
If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

          I'm not sure why, Timex.

If we were to focus on the problems that homosexuals face in non-Western countries, we're likely to run into an underlying factor that is wholly unique to that in the Western nations.

I don't know about all of them, but that Carson guy from QEFTSG definitely is.

Anyway, why are so many Apolytoners gay? Is this a notorious gay hang out or something? Maybe its the Greek name (says the guy with the name of a famously gay Greek as his handle).
And how have you rated their 'gayness'?

And I don't think there are a disproportionate number of gay people - you just aren't moving in the right circles

Mr. Fun, How was my post even remotely critical? I highly endorse your liberation ideology. Homophobia is entirely rooted in society's enslavement of man to a false ideology of conservatism and so-called family values. We must overthrow these false ideologies entirely to combat the root cause of homophobia. You are entirely right!

                  By their appetite for girls.

As long as their intolerance is confined to posting on internet message boards, then yes.

I am sure there are people who would find you completely repulsive. I am sure your girlfriend worships the ground you walk on. Simple fact is, it is all subjective. Men may seem 'yucky' to you. To Starchild or MrFun, women may seem 'yucky'. See, it's all about perspective, frame of reference...

And Ag, as you know, homophobes (or intolerant people in general) get scorched somewhere like this very quickly.

And about the 'homophobe', well, may I point you to Giancarlo. Initially an avowed homophobe, saying 'when I come to power, it will be Zyklon B for the lot of 'em!' - who is probably now mincing around SF in pink PVC

Timex pointed out that I neglected to take a more global view over my Western viewpoint in regards to the fundamental root of homophobia.

Does anyone else want to elaborate on the similarities or differences between homophobia of Western nations and that of non-Western nations??

Mr.Fun, there is more than one way to make an argument, is there not?

Yeah, they must be cold since they keep coming back for more.

MrFun: I think we should start a poll along the lines of "Should MrFun change his name to MrMiserable?"

Lighten up man. He was agreeing with you.
