Now if we had a real pacifist, that issue might even come into play for me. Apparently I'm to the left of Kucinich on this one.

A lot of the dopey right believes Dubya is a saint
Well, according to my church, he is one.

I'm getting Ben Folds - Rocking the Suburbs vibes here...

It makes me real pissed off and makes me wanna say
It makes me real pissed off and makes me wanna say

Every believer a 'saint, prophet, and king' theory, Ben?

Because McGovern's democratic and grass-roots campaign changed things,
You're bringing up a campaign 30 years ago? Yes, a lot of things did change after McGovern's campaign, probably in large part because of McGovern's campaign (that, Viet Nam, and Watergate). The mid-70's were probably the most democratic era in American history.

because McCain's changed things, what a joke .
McCain's campaign isn't either at the same scale as Dean's campaign or as democratic. And he didn't win the nomination. Dean probably will.

            Sort of...

When Paul writes to all the saints, he's not talking about dead people.

As for prophets, everyone has a gift, one of which may be prophecy. Not everyone will be a prophet.

Not sure where you get the allusion, Imran.

Well 30 years later, we'd have seen the changes, right?

Yes, it is because of McGovern that Vietnam ending and Watergate happened . Jeez, been smoking the ganga these days?

Not sure where you get the allusion, Imran.

It's something Luther said. Well, actually every person a prophet, king, and priest (saint, priest - whatever ). Every person is a prophet, thus every person has the freedom to speak. Every person is a priest, thus every person has freedom to worship and associate with likeminded. Every person is a king, thus every person exercises God’s authority on his behalf.

We did! The 70's was a decade of reform, and democracy made huge steps forward.

Yes, it is because of McGovern that Vietnam ending and Watergate happened . Jeez, been smoking the ganga these days?
I didn't say that. I said Viet Nam and Watergate were other contributors to these steps forward in democratization.

Eh? Where? The 'me' decade was a period of great democracy? I think you may be the only one that saw it .
