Commie T, well I at least learned something from the commie/liberals. The rhetoric they use against the right and particularly Bush is unreserved in its hyperbole.

No, you slammed me. I did not slam you. I simply point out that the left uses hyperbole as a norm is its debates. In another thread, you just called someone a NAZI. The term "racist" is used indiscriminately by the left.

        Deny it all you want.

Oh my GOD A *spelling* Nazi, Ned. He corrected a spelling mistake of mine, and I jokingly implied he was a spelling Nazi
But of course you were simply looking for something to try to "stick it to Tassadar", so when you saw the word "Nazi" you must have gone crazy

The war on terror has gone well. There have been no further attacks on the US.
indeed. Instead, the attacks are carried out on Americans abroad. (Bush said the War on Terror is a worldwide war, not just a war to protect America's territory)

Iraq is a problem, but less of a problem than it was.
For whom? Not for you, that's for sure. Cause I don't recall many Americans dieing in Iraq in the years between Gulf War 1 and 2.

The people of the world who love liberty appreciate Bush.
If you believe that, you really need to get your head out of the sand.

Or are you saying half of your countrymen don't love "liberty"? And >50% of all Europeans, Canadians, etc? The man is dispised all over the world! And you're trying to make him into a marter of "liberty". Quit the rhetoric, and see what a mess your president has created!

And the Right can't seem to think for itself, it can only quote bad material from it public mouthpieces.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

oh, how i wish this was true. if the right doesn't slam the left as a matter of regular rhetoric, how the hell is ann coulter so popular? and for that matter, savage? or hannity? or limbaugh?

this allegation that all the hyperbolic rhetoric is on the liberal side is pure bull****.

Generally he is banned from lurking or posting the OT. He is a huge Axis & Allies fan and I turned him loose last night to post in that thread. Apparently he went a little overboard. I'll fix it.

You know, I have seen this "hatred" of Republican presidents abroad my entire life. Even Eisenhower was hated as soon as he declared for the presidency as a Republican.

One can draw certain conclusions about this. It appears that the foreign media is very leftist, as well as much of the foreign population. The people who organize the protests whenever a Republican president travels abroad are the far left radicals such as the communists and greens.

Since I have seen this with no exceptions, I know the current antipathy against Bush is normal. He is especially reviled by the left because he has been unusually willing to use force to advance America's interests. Of course, America is the arch-enemy to the radical left and anything that advances its power is evil - to them.

The bottom line, noting Bush's unpopularity with the left abroad is a true sign that he must be doing something right.
