I give Arrian a hard time, all the time.
He wouldn't know how to act if I was civil.

I knew I was gonna get something colorful there, seeing as I did deserve it.

    Good one, too, Sloww.

It isn't? Well, I've never known anyone express envy or animosity towards Texans. Maybe you run around with a different crowd than I do.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

When I lived in Nebraska there seemed to be a lot of Texas envy. Chicagoans seems to think of Texas as a joke.

'Preuz' is everything north of the 'Weiss Wurtz Grenze' : river Main.
Baden-Wurtemberg is not considered as Preuz:
They say "Gruess-Gott" and "Auf wieder schauen", just like in Bayern.

And when I explained that in my region they made some "boudin blanc" which is a kind of "weiss wurtz" - and that if you extend the river Main to Belgium I was living south of it - I suddenly become more human to their eyes.
