        You're right. Stabbing kills people.

So, in that case, shouldn't we arrest this Stabbing-character?

Of course, there are differences - while everyone in Texas carries a gun, everyone in Pohjanmaa carries a knife.

Anyway, back to Texas and Bavaria, here's a chart of comparisons:

(Incidentally, this would probably make America the Texas of the world.)
            Looks comparable to me.

It seems as if the rest of Germany has as much contempt about Bavaria as America over Texas. To be fair though, I think Bavaria has produced more dangerous conservatives than Texas.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Yeah, the feud between Bavaria and the rest of the country has tradition. Bavarians tend to label all non-Bavarians as Prussians (Sau-Preissen ), while we call them dumb peasants

Being a non-bavarian living in Bavaria, I know both worlds and I can say, that this contempt doesn't disturb Bavarians the least. They know, that it comes from the "Breiss'n" (Prussians, you got to know, that every non-bavarian regardless of his nationality is a "Breiss") and therefor can be completely ignored. It's a common mistake to believe, that Breiss'n have anything to with human beings. Not only do they talk an un-godly accent (there's only one way to pronounce German: the Bavarian accent), but some of them are even Protestants or heathens at all . This can't be tolerated.

Who are you talking about? Austria is not a part of Bavaria.

And yet, I find you responding to some of Sava's posts.

Judging by the criteria laid out on that site, the Texas of the UK is Wales. That just doesn't seem right.

Americans from other states don't have much animosity or envy towards Texans.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
