Listen to me. All my options are in the path. Richmond worst, but stilll not at beach. But could keep house and kitties safe. I did prep the porch. But do not have water, etc.

Maybe so, but some options are further from the sea.

                hmm

see, I would say catch up on stuff you were meaning to do

but I doubt that you are as far behind as me (one assignment a week late, two due tomorrow, one a day late)

That's not very penetrating advice. Should I zip home to Richmond? I am very tempted to do so. Only downside is if we lose power, that will suck. Would rather be sitting in posh hotel then...

DE (where I am) is furthest away. REston is closer and Richnomd even closer.

But you are talki9ng to a guy who (literally) ran the seawall with roomies at Annapolis at 0430 during a hurricane in the 80's. But now, I am older and no longer bulletproof. Plus my copr has "safety" as a core value...

                    hmmm....what to do.

I don't think Richmond will be in real danger. Just want to be there to watch the kitties and the house and to get some personal admin done. Work itslef is shot.

I think I will drive back early int the mornign or right now.

Just need to check my laptop and see if I still have a job after sending a nasty email to another SBU's manager.

                                .
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
