Yeah, I suppose so if you can get the card...but then it would be getting a bit pricey for what you need...

Floppies?

About 4 or 5 years ago, I used about 10 floppies to transfer 100's of megs between two non-networked, non-USB, non-CD-writer computers. I created a spanned zip and then ran back and forth to copy all of parts to the other computer so I could reuse the floppy again.
I pretty much ran up and down the stairs all day.
I'm glad we now have our computers networked.
Which also means I don't really use floppies anymore.Close to never actually, because on the rare occasions I go to university I could simply mail the thing to myself, or temporarily upload it on my webspace.
Thinking about this, I kinda regret getting that floppy-adapter for my smartmedia memory card. Especially so because it needs drivers, so can't just be used on any computer.

Floppies.Technology hell! I hate corrupt floppies. The only thing worse is getting a 28800 dialup modem to download a 150 mb mod for half life.

Every computer has floppy disk drives. Only the very new machines dont. For the sake of interoperability, unless many put their necks on the line, we're going to be stuck with the things for a while."I work in IT so I'd be buggered without a computer" - Words of wisdom from Provost Harrison

Believe me, when you've had to use tape players for data storage. Floppys are like 1000 times better.

Um -- ANYTHING you touch becomes corrupt -- or so I heard.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
