Yeah, I'm going for the North Avenue Stations as well (park at Lindburgh station). I assume I'll find it after I get off the MARTA .

Btw, this is my FIRST post from my cable modem connection . Just got it set up!

And your ex-girlfriend thought she had to leave you.

Well that relationship has taken interesting (but good) turns... not that we are together again or anything, but let's just say instead of calling her my 'ex', I think I may just call her 'quasi-girlfriend' .

        Have to bring Mommy

What kind of woman did you marry, if she doesn't want to go to the Varsity?

Thanks to JohnT (but none to Mapquest)

Directions: "Get off at exit 249D, go across Spring St. to West Peachtree St. and turn left. Go to North Ave. and turn left again. Follow North Ave. until you see The Varsity on the right." OK, got that.

Now the mapquest link shows two exits marked 249D.

/me examines right and left hands to make sure he's turning left

The only way I can turn left onto PT and turn left onto North is to use the first "249D" that is mysteriously located between exits 249A and 249C

There's a northbound 249D and a southbound 249D. Because of things like access roads, etc, the two exits are not at the same location.

Why don't you just get off at 249A, head north until you hit North Ave, and take a left onto North?

But maybe that's just a typo that merely happens very often. The original French word is "connaisseur" (not that it makes a huge difference )

Naw, I knew I misspelled it from the beginning... that's why I had the (sp) symbol after the word - perhaps I should've used an sic?

I knew, but I thought the (sp) symbol meant that you actually wanted to be given the right spelling. Actually, that's what I hope everytime I write (sp) after my words

I did not know that. I always thought it meant just "this word is misspelled and I can't be arsed to look it up", not "this word is misspelled and I can't be arsed to look it up so can one of you people do the work I'm supposed to do and tell me what the spelling is?"

Don't use arsed as a verb. It is a Counterglow Brit thing to do.

What drooling idiot traffic engrs designed this? It is standard practice to use different letters whenever the exits feed different roads, even if they connect to only one direction of the highway. I that case std practice is to add a line saying "no Southbound access this exit" or the equivalent. In some congested areas an interchange might even be an exit only or onramp only, which is then appropriately marked…
but never 2 exits with the same designation!

Yeah, the 249A option is there. I feel confident that the 249D¹ directions are viable even if confusing in the abstract.

Instead, use "ast" for present and past tense, all persons singular and plural. It's the Ebonics way.
