Part of what will drive people to kick his ass out of office is if they have an alternative
Bingo. Bustamante on the ballot may cause MORE people to vote to recall Davis.

Which is it, fellas?
Ted, Bustamante has consistently enjoyed higher poll numbers in the race than even Arnie. He was leading the pack among possible replacements, so saying people view him the same as Davis is absurd.
I know you like to ignore parts of posts that don't back your point, but can you see which part I quoted? Thanks .

What do you mean? Ted asserted that more people would be inclined to back the recall with a credible alternative, but Bustamante isn't it. You then say more people will back the recall because Bustamante is in the race. How is that not a conflict?
Did I ever say I thought the rest of his post was correct? I was only commented on the quote.

No, Ted, I said I agreed that credible alternatives will lead the charge to kick Davis out of office.
I think Bustamante is a credible alternative.

I wasn't saying you were agreeing with him on the rest of his quote, Imrankins...just that they conflicted.
What Imran is saying is that having him on the ballot will cause more people to vote for a recall knowing they can vote for someone else OTHER than Bustamante.
That doesn't make any sense, Ted. Why would having Bustamante being on the ballot make more people vote for the recall to vote for someone else? If they're poltically opposed to Bustamante, they're pretty certain to be people who are voting for the recall anyway!
And Arnold just entered the race YESTERDAY. So we'll see where your polls go from here.
But polls have been accounting for Arnie being in the race already, and Arnie was losing to Bustamante as late as July in these polls. Bustamante just entered too, so the point is moot!
Um... and? You see many people going around saying... heheh... you are Republicans and you conflicted? What was your point?
I guess I'll be sure to laugh when you and Mr Fun conflict on points .

Look, your "Bingo" implied that you thought that Ted was spot-on. I just found it amusing you would say "Bingo" and then provide a conflicting opinion, that's all. Really, you harp on petty things, don't you?
When the person is making a retarded point, then yes, I do .

Yeah it does. If I know his boy is on the ballot I'm going to be even more motivated for someone else to make sure his boy doesn't have a chance to win.
Where is your back up for Bustamante being "his boy?" Davis didn't choose him, Bustamante was independently elected. He also enjoys significantly higher approval ratings than Davis does.
No it's not. Bustamante is a career politician. That he'd run is a likely event. People weren't sure what Arnold's intentions were, but now that they know he's serious, you'll see that poll turn around. Not to mention he has more money and visibility than the rest of these yokels.
First, Bustamante's intentions weren't obvious, as he had previously stated he wouldn't run. Second, Arnold does NOT have more money, as MtG has pointed out to you several times in the other thread, but you keep ignoring: The CA state GOP is practically bankrupt, while the Dems are awash in cash. They outstrip the GOP in funds so bad it isn't funny. Arnie's private cash isn't going to help him against their warchest.
But Arnold was the one who pushed Proposition 49 to victory.
Oooh, woop-de-doo! So? Sorry, but his supporting an After-School proposition that cost the state $400 million isn't going to have much political clout in a year when the predominant issue is a massive budget deficit.

Doesn't matter. He's in the same party, and part of the same dumbass administration that bankrupted the state. He's the number 2 guy in charge.
Exactly, he's a Democrat. California is a solidly Democratic state, Ted. Two Democratic Senators, a Democratic house contigent and the Democrats control the state legislature. The Republicans have virtually no political clout in the state, and Democrats are going to come out in force, either to oppose the recall or to ensure the governorship remains Democratic. Either way, this will be a huge plus for Bustamante. He also will get a natural draw on Hispanic voters, which is a pretty significant part of the California electorate. In fact, without winning at least a bare majority of the Hispanic vote, I'd say a Republican doesn't stand a chance of winning a statewide election in California these days.
Show me the exact numbers. Until then, the point is "moot" in your words. However, my opinion is more correct than yours so I'm right and you're wrong.
No, you're wrong. Nyah.
The point is that people voted for the Proposition largely because Arnold backed it. And we ALL KNOW who the real dumbass is who wasted all those billions on stupid sh1t like taking it up the ass from out of state energy companies.
It doesn't matter, though, because nobody in CA is going to give a **** about Proposition 49, which is small potatoes next to the state's other issues and problems.
As for the energy problems, just watch the Dems splash Enron's name all over as the culprit for state woes, and then make the handy tie of the current Republican administration to Enron's fallen leaders. That will certainly entice CA voters to go for the GOP, suuuuuure!
