It seems you and Sava cannot get the utterly simply notion into your heads that a 'vacation' to a President isn't the same as when you take a vacation!
The point of the matter is; if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Cooks get 20 minute breaks, here's the equivalent of a 4 hour break. You don't put a lid on your stew that is boiling for that long.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Hey, if Mr. Bush wants to take a break from whatever he's doing to this country, fine by me.
In all seriousness, it's alright for the President to go on vacation. I don't think it's entirely a 'vacation', per se, as he's still got meetings and updates from his advisors, but this is not really different from what Presidents (the non-policy-wonk ones, anyway) do in Washington, anyway: jogging every morning, campaign stops and photo ops that really do little more than give the Prez some press, et cetera.
But at the same time, a leader shouldn't just disappear for a month once or twice a year. There ARE important things happening to us and to other countries and peoples around the world and we deserve to see some leadership in those areas 365 days a year. But, once again, no different than what usually happens in Washington, considering how often our President appears before the press and the people without a script.the good reverend
