Yeah, it went through, and, that was considered his "testing the waters" to entering political office.

Davis can resign right up until the day of the election and appoint a successor, which is what is likely.

Ahnold would be entertaining as, say, governor of Arkansas, Vermont, or Wisconsin, but the fiscal crisis in California is too deep, and California too large a constituent of the US economy, to have a clown succeed Davis.

And if Ahnold tries to play "boss" then a few people who run state government will show him who really is boss.

Davis is another species entirely. Spineless, inept, lacking in vision, a bull****ter without a cause, and basically incompetent in any sort of leadership role. Clown is several steps up, but the state needs a lot more than that.

I think you need to draw us a hierarchy of bad leadership.

Like in Civ when you do bad and like they say you'll be known as, "Ted the Loser," or "Ted the Incompetent."

That could be entertaining, once I get some time to work out all the levels and the org chart.

The question is, do the Dems. stick by Davis, who as unpopular as he is is a top notch money raiser, or do they let him sink and not allow the Governorship to go to a Republican? I think eventualy, like in a week or two, Davis will be abandoned.

Oh, and the last sentence would be cute, coming from a 5 year old. Grow up.
I saw on the news a while ago that the leaders of the nation democratic party came out to California to through their support behind Davis and said that if any democratic ran against Davis in the recall they would make sure their political life ended after that. THe plan for the Dems is to have Davis against Republicans and to scare the voters into voting for Davis. Will it work? I dont think so but thats their plan.

Personally I just want a governor in there that will solve the buget mess, be it republican or democratic with out raiseing taxes sky high.

Anther game that the LT. governor is trying to pull is that he is saying that the election for the replacement governor does not have to be on the same day and that one might not even be needed. Davis supporters are trying all kinds of tricks and games to stop this recall, but they will fail and hopefull the idiots in the capital that keep bowing to special interest will finally wake up.

Also the legislature also has a 19% apporval rate amoung voters so they are not doing much better then Davis.

Gepap, I doubt that seeing how the democratic party has failed California.
Davis is not the best example of a Democrat.

As MtG said, he's...basically a dumbass ****head.

Are you sure you are right? My understanding is that if he resigns the replacement election still happens and the Lt. Governor steps in untill the a new governor is elected.
