You can't just go around toppling regimes because you don't don't like them. Right now Iraq is in worse shape than it was before the war. Furthermore, in order for the war to be just, the intentions of the US would have to be just. To me this whole message of liberating Iraq is empty propaganda. We know it's about the oil. We know some of those hawks in Washington have been planning for a long time.

Saddam was an evil bastard! I sure don't mind seeing his regime gone. And again, I bet you there are lots of Iraqis that feel the same way.
The end doesn't justify the means though. As much as I hate Saddam, this sets a very dangerous precedent. I hope this war ends up toppling Bush as well.

But the words were treasonous in nature.
Maybe you might say that, but is that treason? It's not even inciting action against Americans.

Not in the classic just war tradition it wasn't.

Second, Odin specifically wished americans dead. That is what is treason if he is a US citizen. There is a huge difference between criticizing or not supporting your government and wishing your own soldiers to be killed. The first is ok, the second is not!

            I have a Newsflash. I'm not kidding a bit.

              Attacked Iran.

              With US support

              Invaded Koweit.

With no objections from the US

              Used chemical warfare on Iran.

With chemical weapons provided by the US

Used chemical warfare on civilian population.

              See above

              Tried to build nuclear weapons.

Give you this one, but how about invading your friends in Pakistan who actually build those weapons?

Tried to build large stockpile of chemical wepons.
Tried to build large stockpile of biological wepons.

Any proof of that or are these another example of Weapons Of Mass Deception?
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
              Once again...

Yes, but this invites the question of whether Iraq is a viable state or not. I'm guessing that anyone who wanted to keep that country together would need to be pretty mean.

                Attacked Iran.
To the delight of the West.

                Invaded Koweit.
For various reasons, none of them to do with pure sadism.

                Used chemical warfare on Iran.
US: used chemical warfare in Vietnam

Used chemical warfare on civilian population.
                Agent Orange?

                Tried to build nuclear weapons.
How evil! Meanwhile the Israelis, easily the most belligerent nation in the region have stacks of them.

Tried to build large stockpile of chemical wepons.
                The US has them.

Tried to build large stockpile of biological wepons.
                The US has them.

That is not a threat to you? Would the world be better off with that kind of person still around?
Yeah - let's get rid of the States!

Saddam was an evil bastard! I sure don't mind seeing his regime gone. And again, I bet you there are lots of Iraqis that feel the same way.
But they also don't want the US telling them what to do.

The bottom line is that we got rid of an evil, despotic regime that tortured and murdered millions of innocent people. We did a good deed.
That remains to be seen. Surely you aren't suggesting this was a noble selfless action?

                  (a) It was Evil Knevil, not Odin.

                  (b) You might want to not contribute to the global stereotype of ignorant Americans by actually learning what really constitutes "treason" against the United States. Your (or anyone else's) approval or disapproval of what someone says or what opinion they express is not an element of treason.

Can you lefties make up your minds . Was it all run by Neoconservatives or was it all about interests? You can't have both (because they are fundamentally opposite positions).

'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. Unfortunately not. Sloww and MtG even want to hang us for speaking our mind even though their own constitution grants us that right.
