I liked it. Thrilling. I've only seen the "enhanced version" or whatever though.

IRT The Thin Red Line was pretty much a poetry reading set in WWII.
Thin Red Line was set in Vietnam... but it was so boring, it's no surprise you got the two confused... that was a sh1tty flick.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Sorry, you're absolutely wrong. Both the '64 and '98 versions were set during Guadacanal

Not many people seem to like it but one of my favorites is Hamburger Hill. I thought it was better than most of the Vietnam movies. They didnt try to push one view or another down your throat. You just knew the utter uselessness that the grunts felt.

As much as I love Kubrick, I hated the second half of that film, once the boys make it to Vietnam, and I detested the ending.

I like FMJ but once it gets out of boot camp it sort of lags I think. It just bugs me the way it ended..

Same here, but the first half does carry it.

Bah, Sava, you suck . The Thin Red Line (the new one) was a Great movie!! Full of the philosophy of war and action intersperced with thinking.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
