    Monolith:

what i mean is... alright take all that punk rock music from the suburbs... with all those songs going like, "I'm going to commit suicide because I don't want to be the person society forces me to be"... well they make these songs a lot more fake intellectual sounding but thats the gist of it... i hate that bull****... there's nothing wrong with positive conforming... conformity with a church community for example prevents people from doing drugs... negative conforming is an entirely different story though.

but the point is... i dont care about the issue of conformity as much as how these bourgeious tout on about how they are forced to live the good life and ****... it's like they got no problems in their life so they got to play the enslaved conformists or the crazy rebel

Asher, see, you are soooo middle class

I love spiders, every time there is a spider big enough to terrify my mother I just pick it up and throw it outside. Spiders get rid of flies. I dislike flies. That makes spiders friends of mine

          Albert:

          The Athens, GA definition is:

A college student who doesn't like to bathe or where new clothes (danky t-shirt and torn jean shorts are the in-clothes), thinks him/herself a free-wheeling Leftist rebel (they'll bore you to tears with their horror stories of The Poor Bunny in the Cosmetics Factory), hates anything that is popular with people they don't like, and generally are proud of their non-conforming conformity.

Kurt Cobain was the prototypical townie - an insider who acted so hard to be an outsider that they really didn't understand how "in" they were.

In other areas, "Townies" are just those kids who didn't go to college after they graduated. Since U. of GA was so big, the term mutated to that above.

I conform with my church community, and I've smoked pot a few times...

Albert: That sounds EXACTLY like my town . It's very nice. About 60 miles from Philly (Jersey Shore). We got a big lawn, and we have some guys come and cut it every week. We never fought on whose lawn to play, we just picked one and played.

Suburbs are wonderful things . In Georgia I live in a suburb (like the kind you describe) that is only a few miles from the city. It's why I love Atlanta .

Nah, Belleville Congregational Church. Me and one other guy are the only people in it who use marijuana, I think. But we still conform with the church, in that we go, and believe, and have faith. I don't think god cares if you light up. If god didn't want you to smoke, he wouldn't have created marijuana.

You will not succeed; we had, before the metric system, a unit called arpent which defined about the same surface as the acre. And this is why the title of a a novel from Caldwell was appropriately translated : les petits arpents du Bon Dieu.

in case anybody thought the name "Lower Merion PA" sounded familiar, it's Kobe Bryant's hometown... so apparently, there was at least one black family living where i went through.
