What happens in Chechnya? Chechen war is still goes on only in your and other foreinger's imagination. War was over after two months of fighting. After that time Russian forces were in Chechnya to maintain order, because power institutions were destroyed when Chechnya was under bandit's rule (almost 3 years). After power institutions were created (courts, police, special services) Russian army started to withdraw from Chechnya. This proccess of withdrawal started several months ago. Currently Russian army leaving Chechnya, because local power institutions, ministeris, deportments created now and LOCALS, CHECHEN PEOPLE serve in local police forces, and LOCALS maintain order there. Army is leaving, locals protecting themselves from bandits, from guys whom you call "glorious freedom fighters and representatives of Chechen people".
War still goes on, my ass. If you want to see real war, look some TV news from Israel.
