      Funny story.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

The neighbor wanted the regulations obeyed. That neighbor is certainly an *******, but the regulations are also out of control. Regulations are often the tools of *******s.

WTF! If I was that girl's parent I would tear the neighbor to shreds.

DanS, you call that funney! Where is your empathy for the girl!

Let's see... so the dickhead neighbor calls the cops. But the cop feels bad and buys lemonade, the city agrees it is silly and waived the fee and she's now back in business...

So, what's the big deal here? Where's the political angle?

Well! One wouldn't know that from the introduction it was given!

Funny story, funny girl, funny neighbor. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
Bet she sells more lemonade NOW than before.

It all works out in the end.

My guess is that the jackass neighbor had something against the kid's parents, and so took it out on the kid.

Well maybe we're judging too quickly here. Did anyone find out whether the lemonade she's selling was bought at retail or wholesale? Retail lemonade is not for resale...

I think we need to get the Feds in on this one.

Nah, its all a plot from the little girl to maximise profit. Probably she or her parents called the cops, so everyone can feel sorry for her. Now she got the permit for free, she got free advertisment in the media, + she got now more costumers than ever before. Its time to raise the price for the lemonade and start adding more products for sell to her stand... (like overpriced t-shirts saying "I support little girl businesses" ) I bet in 5 years time she can open up a new WalMart or something
If its no fun why do it? Dance like noone is watching...
