Huck Finn isn't really a kid's book anyway. You have to be pretty mature to understand some of the stuff going on.

Ah the problem presents itself... you underestimate the maturity of kids. I think they can deal with racism.... just like they'll deal with the death of a major character in the latest Potter book.

Don't try to convert me. I hate HP and I always will. Gandalf could kick his ass anyway.

Do people try to steal the bell as a prank?

Harry Potter isn't worth getting riled up over, Ag. It's just boring, that's all.

The good war hallows every cause. Besides, it's as good an excuse for irrational rage as anything else I can think of.

                    G'night.

                      No.

The Corps of Cadets (I was one) has to guard it. So, I guarded the thing for a few hours every, oh, 2 weeks or so.

We Aggies, on the other hand, were successful in stealing Texas University's Mascot (Bevo the Steer) on numerous occasions. Sucks when one rival has a dedicated Military org guarding everything and the other doesn't.

Gandalf? You mean, from those children's books?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

You mean like adults that read 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' or 'Chronicles of Narnia'. Oh wait, it is only a sad commentary when YOU don't like the children's book .
You put Rowlings in the same class as Mark Twain et al? How sad.

Seriously, Huck Finn is not about some kids wandering around, but it is more of a commentary of the society at the time. No such parallel exists in any of the Potter books.

Who knows, in 50 to 100 years, you snobs might have to eat your words as Rowling ascends the pantheon of novelists .
