Such a policy, while it suppresses the immediate threat, does not remove the "reasons" why the attacks happen. (note the double quotes, because this is stretching the word reason... can't think of an alternative word right now).

Organisations like Hamas, IJ etc are like Hydras. You cut off the head, and it sprouts 2 more.

as a response the Israel military will commit more targeted killings (or will conduct further military operations within Westbank and Gaza) where probably again innocent Palestinians will bekilled

and so on and so on.

Hamas will bomb Restaurants, Discos and other places regardless of what Israel does. It's not a response. Hamas has said, over and over again, that they will not stop if there is a single Jew in Israel. They have been very open about this. So the term "respond" is incorrect.

But the more Palestinians die,
the more support Hamas will get from the palestinian Population
and the more Suicide Attacks will happen.

There was AFAIK a time where there were much less bombings than today, it was the time where there was a glimpse of hope and the Summits at Oslo.

Has the Policy of Retaliation against the Palestinians done anything to lessen the number of Suicide attacks against Israel?

Hmmm, seems a little backwards.
Has all the added security and attacks against Hamas foiled potential attacks. There seems to be sufficient prove of that. And since Hamas will continue attacks until there are no Jews left, they really have no choice but to fight fire with fire.

The Hamas won't stop at all, as long as it survives.
The problem with this kind of organization is that no matter how many times you destroy it, it keeps revivng if you don't adress the root causes that makes it supported.

I'm sure yesterday's terract wasn't an "answer" to the attack against Hamas' #2.

My main concern is to know how many Palestinian people decided to join the fight after seeing the kid die under the Israeli missile.

Root out the causes for Hamas' support, or you'll have to fight against an hydra;.

Yes, they wouldn´t stop from doing it, at least the hard core from Hamas and of course the leaders,
but there are people outside of Hamas who could either support or not support Hamas, the people you could call the ordinary Palestinians.

So the question is, if there aren´t other ways to get rid of those Hamas Members, maybe for example by Police actions.
The Israel military knows enough of the Locations of Hamas Leaders to try to assassinate them. So wouldn´t it also be possible to try to arrest them at the right time?
Of course it would be much more dangerous for the israel policemen and/or soldiers, but at the same time it would save the life of innocent palestinian civilians, would be the thing you could expect from a Democracy and maybe it would lessen the tensions, especially in a time where there are peace talks.
