). This time it got not brighter than ~4mag and it was hard to see it without a telescope. I have seen it with field-glasses, it was diffuse and unspectacular. I took 3 or 4 positions, that was it. There were more impressive comets in the past years, Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake come to my mind.
But we will have a bright pass in 136 years.
People like Halley because it is the brightest comet one can see twice in his/her lifetime.
