Perhaps it won't be as stupid as the first one. They ever explain how they've reversed the Laws of Thermodynamics?

          Batteries! Hah!

JohnT...i want them to explain how they brainwashed a generation of young people into thinking computers will enslave humans. they have nothing to fear from us.

Matrix would make a great comic story plot, but when I walked into Enter the matrix, I was expecting more serious philosophical approach to questioning what reality is. If I hadnt been expecting that I guess I wouldnt have been disappointed. (maybe I expected a lil too much for what is mostly supposed to be action-scifi )
                    :-p

Saw it tonight. Not as impressive as the first, but that was mostly because the scenes were either exclusively action or exclusively bad philosophical exposition...they never mixed the two like in the first movie.

Well, the fight scenes were better in this one I felt. I was afraid that Neo's ultimate power of ultimateness attained in the first movie would negate all challenge & interest in this one, but it generally didn't. And at least one character- the Architect- said something a lot more fun than just random philisophical blather.

On the down side, the first 1/3 of the movie was quite blah. And the dance scene... ugh.

                        Still good.

Therefore this is not a syllogism.

I'm in total agreement with you.

Some other points, it seemed like they tried to take on too much at once, and didn't give enough time to some scenes as what they should have imho

i really liked it though, and it threw in many things i wasn't expecting (which the previews thankfully didn't give away) and it gave a completely new take on the whole matrix story line

i found it interesting that neo chose something none of the previous "ones" did...interesting to say the least

i look forward to the conclusion

Did anyone pick up the Merovingian bit? Unless I'm reading too much into it, there's a bit of symbolism there.

Yeah, that completely ruined it for me, since I couldn't attain sufficient suspension of disbelief after that.
