Yeah, as a shocker to every parent (if you live in Europe that is), your daughter is no virgin even when she's only 16. Very super likely. Possible? Sure.. but still virgin? unlikely. Get over it .

I think it's better to discuss and talk and make them understand that they don't have to have sex if they don't want to and no one can make them have sex, and that there's no hurry and they should do it with someone who they care for and feel like it's the right thing to do. No threats or things like that, it's akward enough for them, so just .. be cool with it and make sure they do it for the right reasons and not because supposedly everyone else is doing it too, and then they go have sex with some drunk guy who is a jerk to begin with.

Fez, I was talking about girls . Guys can be virgins even longer and that's still pretty normal. Sure it's not weird to be girl and virgin, but you know what I mean. Many times chicks have sex with little older guys, like 20 or so, so that gives the male virgin little more time too.

Well yeah, yeah... but even then... having it with someone twice you age is just wrong! Even 5 years older than you when you are 15 is not helpful. Usually the guy just wants to take advantage of a young, naive girl. She thinks he loves her, but he just wants sex. Or maybe that is just us evil Americans .

Imram, well, I agree with you. I agree, that it's a bit weird to see 35 year old man going out with 16 year old kid, even if it's legal. Well I haven't seen that, but I can imagine. I think it would be nice, if the guy would be about same age, both experimenting and going out, that would be ideal IMO.

Ditto. That is how it turns out to be with older men and younger girls...

Imram, I agree to certain extent again.. little experienced man could be better because of experience and could teach the girl and be gentle and all that, but then again he is most likely just having sex and not having anything else like feelings for her. So that's why I think it woudl be better if they were about the same age. I can't help but think there's something nasty going on if 15 year old and 30 year old were walking hand to hand.

And of course parents don't want their girls to be doing it, so they make the age be 18 . Though usually that is why there is a rule that if you are under 18, you must be between 4 years in age difference to prevent the older man preying.

and if I was a parent and it was my daughter, I'd be waiting for that man with a shotgun in living room for sure. But if same age, I don't see problems if they like each other, why not.. if they both want it. Sure, why not.

Why they need laws for that? Can't they talk it out? IF parents really don't want their daughter to have sex before the age of 18, then they can always set the house rules. She's still underaged and living in their home, so house rules stands. But I don't see laws doing that.. that's parenting!

I don't care whether Korn was 15 or 25. If my daughter left my house that early in the morning and I caught them, He would receive a thumping.

When she is 18 and a Legal Adult , I can kick her out if she does that. But at 16, she is a minor, and she will follow MY rules.

Regardless of when the age of consent is, she isn't a lgeal adult in the US until 18.

Of course thumping him would have been good enough for me, no reason to send him to jail. And a man would accept the thumping.
