To me, it seems like you're doing the rather typical thing of trying to reinforce your idea that you didn't screw up buying your computer. Maybe you've even convinced yourself to the point where it's subconscious.

I know the iTunes story "came before today" too -- didn't Drake make a thread well before it hit 1M sales?
