    Been to:

    Mexico 2x, Tijuana and Cozumel
    Bahamas
    England
    France
    Scotland
Russia-6 months studying in M-co Great time. Hungry Duck.
Sri Lanka-loved it there 2 weeks spent boozing it up around Columbo and pretty cool to see elephants just wandering around.

Spent an interesting 3 hours in the Karachi Airport once, was detained by security guards, they thought my discman was a bomb. Luckily they didn't see the bottle of vodka in my bag and I escaped with both hands

Am going to Jamaica in 2 weeks, to spend a week at a Sandals resort. Graduation trip and getting married there.

Still want to go to (US) alaska, New England, Seattle, (Abroad) Kenya, Israel, India, SE Asia, S. America, Italy, Greece, basically I want to go everywhere on Earth.

I know a guy that went to Antarctica over x-mas break a few months ago. Of course his dad is filthy rich. Apparently an interesting trip. A little cold.

Brussels, Belgium. Rather quiet when compared to say, Paris, but the break was worth it. Wouldn't mind going back there.

Paris, France. Beautiful city, all the sites and sights were worth checking it out many times, but I don't think living there permanently would be a good idea.

Roma, Italia. Great for the history, the food was good too, but the people had a strong temper....not really bad though.

Stockholm/Oslo/Copenhague: Language barrier probably made the people seem a bit cold (and the night wind was murderous), but they're all quite good cities in their own right.

New York: It's New York. Yay! (and Boo! too)

      ...

I'd really like to go to the East though, definitely China and Japan, but I don't know if the paperwork and language barrier would be worth it...oh, and now SARS comes up. Hopefully that's been resolved by next decade or so (luck willing).

"Monolith94, what does archipelago mean?" Series of islands. I think. I might be wrong. Basically all those little islands of the west coast of Finland.

Ditto this. Western Canada in General really...don't worry Ash, if I get up there I'll swing by Alberta and say hi

Been to Las Vegas, Florida, Philadelphia, New York, and Washington D.C.

I liked Vegas and New York.

I want to go to Japan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Russia.

Probably going to Thailand and Australia before Japan and the UK cause of the exchange rate.

I found pubs in Rome. I took a tour there when I got 2 days off when I was there in the navy.

Beautiful city. Much better than the crappy port of Naples we anchor off of .

I asked the bartender to give me the darkest german beer he had. And he did, it was delicious. I can't remember the name of it though . Probably impossible to get in the U.S. anyways.

I would absolutey love to make it to the Queen Charlottes. They're like Vancouver Island, but even more serene! And with their own, freakish brand of wildlife! And rain, rain, wonderful rain... That is my number one vacation destination.

I'd also like to see Southeast Asia (this may actually happen, surprisingly), the British Isles, France, & Germany (cathedrals!).

                        *****************

For those thinking of travelling Western Canada: I highly encourage it. I'm hard pressed to think of more beautiful images than those I can remember from my various trips through the rockies. Brilliant waterfalls, tonnes of wildlife, awe-inspiring mountains...

Man, I should go there again.

Oh, and don't forget about the prairies! They're really, really... flat.

You WILL be intimidated by our sky!

It's such a shame that you've got extra cold winters. Otherwise, your lands would be heaven on earth.

That's not from logging, Morraine Lake is deep inside a national park.

yes small avalanches and such cause trees to end up like that. can an avalanche be small by definition. Well sometimes the trees end up in ravines and gulleys like that. At least where I live.
